Packed....
We spent three hours today rehearsing all the dances we are taking (there are 15!!!), and packing costumes. We also had many of our chaperones packing supplies. You have all out-done yourselves!! We have SIX FULL size suitcases full of supplies to go to the people of Trinidad! How amazing!!! We also have FOUR suitcases of costumes!
Now time to pack myself!!! UGH!
We had a sweet time of prayer over the kids and chaperones today. Thanks to all the parents who participated in our coveted time together! The Lord was definately present with us!

Prayer for participants
One of our dance dads suggested that I list everyone who is going on the trip so that you can pray for them by name, and by what they are doing. Great idea... There are 24 of us now. The three band members only stay Mon-Fri., so pray for their safe return on Friday, June 5th.

Our Intinerary
So that you can be praying with us, here is our itinerary. Trinidad is in the eastern time zone.
Monday, June 1:
Fly from ATL to Houston 11am-1230pm
and from Houston to Port of Spain Trinidad arriving in Trinidad around 730pm, heading to the mission house.
Tuesday, June 2:
Cleaning and fixing up Orphanage all day. Around 330pm, we will do a mini-show for them and then back to the mission house.
Wednesday, June 3:
Beach day in the AM, then ministry/performance at 7pm.
Thursday, June 4:
Sightseeing day, then ministry/performance at 7pm. (different location and audiences every day!!)
Friday, June 5:
Shopping in the day, then ministry/performance in the evening.
Saturday, June 6:
Teaching DanceCamp to the kids in the orphange from 9am-1pm, then ministry/performance that evening.
Sunday, June 7:
Performance/ministry at a church in the AM, beach trip in the afternoon, then back to the mission house to pack.
Monday, June 8:
Early departure for an 845am departure from Port of Spain, Trinidad. Arrive in Atlanta (via Houston) at 6pm.
We now have three musicians from Oakleaf church joining us from Monday to Friday. We are thrilled to have them come and be part of our ministry in Trinidad!

We are collecting needs for Trinidad
We will be visiting a 40 bed orphanage. And they are in need for new linens. So that's 40 twin sheet sets, and 40 bath towels. Dont forget the pillowcases! We are also collecting "hair pretties" for the girls, deoderants and hairbrushes for all the kids. They are also in need of paper and pencils too. And manicure/pedicure/nailclippers. Can you help us with any of this? Linens can be gently used too!
Our host mission house is also in need of sheets and towels including some double/full size sheets too. We would also like to bless them with kitchen linens, serving bowls (light and nonbreakable).
We are collecting things all week long at the Grand Theatre and at our performance there on Saturday May 16. We will also be collecting things over the following two weeks before we leave at the studio.
If you would rather, you are also welcome to "sponosor a suitcase" for $25 to help us transport these things down there. Each additional suitcase costs $25 to send.
Keep us in your prayers as we trying to meet the physical needs of the people in Trinidad as well as their spirital needs. Pray for the health of our dancers, and that there are no more injuries and that God will heal those with pains now!!!

Trinidad's needs
We are using this mission trip to be able to meet the needs of our Trinidad missionary/local pastor, as well as the needs of a local orphanage. Steps of Faith will be putting together a list and setting up a collection point(s) for donated goods. Stay tuned....
